Transparent Governance

Administrative Transparency Portal of the Archaeological Parks of Paestum and Velia

The principle of transparency is at the heart of public administration. It ensures that citizens have full access to information about how institutions are organised and how public resources are managed. This commitment is defined by Legislative Decree No. 33 of 14 March 2013, which came into effect on 20 April 2013. The decree consists of 53 articles and one annex and sets out the legal framework for transparency, publicity, and the sharing of information within public bodies. According to Article 1, transparency means complete accessibility to data related to institutional functions, with the goal of promoting public oversight of institutional functions and the use of public resources while safeguarding individual and collective freedoms, along with civil, political, and social rights.

The Transparency Portal is designed to support an open citizen-focused governance, reinforcing the right to good administration and ensuring the integrity of public service.
