The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the research priorities and technical guidelines that guide the activities of the Parks. The role of Board member is carried out on a pro bono basis, with no remuneration provided.(Ministerial Decree of 23/12/2014, Article 11).
The Scientific Committee serves as an advisory body on scientific matters relating to the activities of the Parks. The members of the Scientific Committee do not receive any remuneration for their service (Ministerial Decree of 23/12/2014, Article 12).
The Board of Auditors is responsible for ensuring administrative and accounting compliance by verifying the proper maintenance of financial records and the regular management of the Parks’ economic, financial, and asset-related activities.The Chair, an official from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, receives remuneration from the Ministry. The other two members are entitled to a fee, to be established by a decree — currently pending — issued by the Minister of Culture in agreement with the Minister of Economy and Finance (Ministerial Decree of 23 December 2014, Article 13).
