The Archaeological Parks of Paestum and Velia promote awareness and understanding of archaeological and cultural heritage through educational programmes designed for students of all ages and school levels.
These programmes are intended to support the enjoyment and appreciation of the Parks’ archaeological heritage, following principles of inclusion and active participation. The approach is varied and interdisciplinary, encouraging engagement across a broad range of subjects and interests.

Advance booking is mandatory and grants access to the archeological sites and the National Archeological Museum.
An immersive journey through the historical and cultural wonders of the Parks, exploring specific themes such as architecture, daily life, and religious rituals. Each route is designed to offer an engaging and inspiring educational experience.
Ceramics workshops for all ages, where participants can learn shaping techniques, decorations, pottery wheels, hot pot methods, and create ex-votos, miniature vases, votive statuettes, and ceramic toys.
An exclusive behind-the-scenes look, allowing visitors to discover the conservation and study of archaeological finds not displayed to the public, revealing hidden treasures and the preservation process of history.
This visit leads along the Crinale degli Dei (literally, “The Ridge of the Gods”)—a scenic panoramic trail immersed in nature. The route links the main sanctuaries and offers breathtaking views of the coastline and ancient ruins.
An educational workshop that delves into key aspects of life in the ancient world—such as warfare, hunting, and traditional craftsmanship. The experience focuses particularly on the prehistoric period and the distinctive Gaudo culture of Paestum.
A special museum path designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, including a guided tour led by specialized operators in the Deposits section of the Paestum Archaeological Museum.
