Paestum Romana: Immagini di una città in trasformazione
Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Paestum, 18-20 Settembre 2025
I Parchi archeologici di Paestum e Velia, all’indomani dell’inaugurazione del nuovo allestimento della sezione romana del Museo Archeologico Nazionale, organizzano un Convegno Internazionale di Studi a Paestum dal 18 al 20 settembre 2025.
Il convegno intende indagare le dinamiche di sviluppo e di trasformazione della città di Paestum e del suo territorio in epoca romana e tardo-antica, offrendo l’opportunità di presentare i risultati di studi recenti, esplorare nuovi approcci e attuare uno scambio di idee che possano favorire future ricerche in questo campo.
Le proposte di contributi e poster (abstract max. 400 parole in italiano o inglese) dovranno essere inviate all’indirizzo email pa-paeve.paestumromana@cultura.gov.it entro il 15 aprile 2025.
Per incoraggiare la partecipazione di studenti e dottorandi saranno assegnate due borse di studio per coprire le spese di viaggio e pernottamento.

Roman Paestum: Images of a City in Transformation
National Archaeological Museum of Paestum, 18-20 September 2025
Following the recent opening of the new Roman section of the National Archaeological Museum, the Archaeological Parks of Paestum and Velia are delighted to host an International Conference in Paestum from 18 to 20 September 2025.
The conference seeks to examine the dynamics of the development and transformation of the city of Paestum and the territory around it from the Roman period to Late Antiquity. It offers the opportunity to present the results of recent studies, explore new approaches and exchange innovative ideas that will foster future research in the field.
Paper and poster abstracts (max. 400 words in either Italian or English) should be submitted by e-mail to pa-paeve.paestumromana@cultura.gov.it by 15 April 2025.
In order to encourage the participation of students and PhD candidates, two scholarships will be awarded to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
