With the recent reopening of the Roman section at the National Archaeological Museum of Paestum, the Park has launched a new chapter in celebrating Paestum\u2019s Roman heritage. A symbol of this renewed focus is the unveiling of the Neptune Mosaic, which had remained hidden beneath protective coverings for nearly twenty years.<\/span><\/p>

This remarkable piece, a fine example of Roman mosaic art, has recently undergone a major restoration to ensure its conservation and structural stability. The work involved detaching and repositioning the mosaic onto a new artificial support, preventing further deterioration and allowing this masterpiece to be preserved for future generations.<\/span><\/p>
